Former Static X Bassist Reacts To Wayne Static's Death

Tony has posted a statement online following Wayne Static's death.

On November 1st it was announced that founding Static X member has passed away at the age of 48!

Tony says:
''I'm having a hard time finding the words to express how I feel right now, and it's taken me a long time to even try to write something. I knew Wayne for 15 years. Some of the best times of my life were with him. I considered hum a good friend. It's sad, the way our friendship ended, but even more sad that we never got to settle things between us.

Even though we were no longer friends the last five years, I held on to the sliver of hope that my old friend would come back. We were like family; Kiochi Fukuda,  Nick Oshiro,  Erik Fincher,  Bruce Reiter,  Brandon Jensen; we all just wanted our old friend back. Sadly, that will never happen.

I feel horrible for his parents and hid brothers and sisters. I can't even begin to imagine what they must be going through. My deepest condolences go out to them. All we can do now, is remember the good times we shared. Rest in peace Wayne.''

Following Wayne's death Drowning Pool posted:
''We are totally in shock and devastated by the loss of our good friend Wayne of Static X. Can't believe we lost another great rock Hero. Our hearts go out to Wayne's family and friends. We were so looking forward to touring together in the UK in January. Can't believe you're gone brother. Never easy loosing a friend. Sleep well...''
