This event takes place tonight! (4th October 2014) kicking off at 7pm! Couldn't have been at a better venue, I visit the Merry Monk a lot and have an amazing time every time I have been, the size of the venue means that this will be a very intimate gig. Can't express how good of a location this is, free entry, cheap booze and amazing music. Get yourselves there.. Now about the bands!

The night kicks off with the one and only Black Nevada starting their set at 7.30pm.

I have personally seen this band play a lot of times! They are a perfect combo to play with I Divide, they are a 5 piece alternative rock band from the County Durham area so this gig is pretty local for them, they never fail to get the crowd going and pumped, they have such great stage presence with a lot of energy!

Next up we have the amazing I Divide need I say more about this band?!

They will be kicking off their set at 8.45pm!

Not sure I need to express how amazing these guys are! They are one of the hottest breakthrough bands of this year, now when I found out these guys were playing at the Merry Monk I didn't believe it but the day has finally arrived and I am over the top excited! This is a rare thing to happen and I doubt it will again in our area!

Okay, so finally we have The Distorted kicking off their set at 10.00pm!

They are an origional hard rock band but they also play covers from Guns N Roses, Metalica, Marilyn Manson and more! Personally I have never seen or heard this band before so this is going to be a new one for me too, pretty excited to see what this band can do!

I must add that you must be 14+ to enter the venue and you must be accompanied by an adult, also those under the age of 18 must leave the venue by 10pm! If you are found in the premises after 10pm you will be removed by the door staff.

So with all the seriousness over with, GET YOUR ASS THERE!
